Rainbows of happiness go out this week to: Grayson Fortna on November 2, and Joshua Karr on November 4. Happy Birthday to both of you!

At the Yucca Valley Senior Center on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month, seniors can call to set up an appointment with the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) Counselor. To set up an appointment with a counselor call 228-5456 or 1-800-510-2020 for more information.

The Twentynine Palms Community Food Pantry announce that they will be open November 3, from 9:30-11:00AM. November 7, from 9:30-11:30AM, and again in the evening from 5:00-6:30PM. The Twentynine Palms Community Food Pantry hopes that this new schedule doesn't inconvenience anyone, but the new schedule has been deemed necessary. Also, as a reminder, families will only be served once a month. For more information on this new schedule, please contact The Food Pantry at 361-3663.

The Dale Basin Well Owner's Association would like to announce that their next meeting will be held at the Wonder Valley Community Church, located at 82575 Amboy Road, on Sunday, November 4, at 4:00PM. For more information, please contact Mary Quamme at 367-2411.

For those of you who will be touring with the Open Studio Art Tour on November 3 and November 4, stop by the Wonder Valley Community Church, located at 82575 Amboy Road to see the beautiful stained glass windows that have been created for the church with love by Charlotte Williams. Charlotte will be there to show the windows to the public.

Please don't forget to "fall back" this weekend. Remember to turn your clocks back one hour before going to bed on Saturday, November 3.

If you didn't have the chance to attend the "Fall Festival" that was held this past Sunday evening at Wonder Valley Community Church, you really missed some fun with your neighbors. There was a lot of excitement with the hayride, and there was face painting for everyone, as well as Sherioke with Sheri Karr. Lots of free food was served as well as a gospel concert by Michael Bradshear that was a true blessing. There was close to 100 of our neighbors who thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

If anyone, any group or organization has items of interest to them that they would like for me to include in future columns, please feel free to call me at 367-7608 and please leave a message. You may also email me at cindy_mccollum2002@yahoo.com. See you next week, Cindy.
